SECAC has an annual awards program to recognize exemplary work by its members. Nominations are accepted and reviewed by member committees, and awards are announced at the annual SECAC meeting. SECAC is pleased to announce a call for nominations for the awards program for 2017. In addition to the awards listed below, the SECAC President is authorized to designate recipients for the Award of Distinction (recognizing former officers), the Certificate of Merit (members who are entering retirement), and the Award for Exemplary Achievement (exceptional individuals who have demonstrated significant personal and professional development and long-standing service to SECAC).
The SECAC Awards Committee reviews and selects recipients for six SECAC Awards. The deadline for the nominations for each SECAC Award is Monday, February 6, 2017 (postmark). SECAC encourages nominations and self-nominations for all SECAC Awards.
The deadline for the Levin Award for Research in Art History is March 1, 2017 and the deadline for the SECAC Artist's Fellowship is August 1, 2017. The deadline for Gulnar Bosch Travel Awards varies each year and is set by the annual conference director. There are no deadlines for nomination for the President’s Awards, which are designated by the President. Separate processes exist for each of these awards. Follow the link under the description of each award for full instructions. SECAC encourages nominations and self-nominations for awards in all of these categories.
For questions, contact SECAC First Vice President and Chair of the SECAC Awards Committee, Sandra Reed, at email@example.com.

The Gulnar Bosch Travel Awards provide limited travel funds for select graduate students whose papers or works have been accepted for juried presentation so that they can attend the SECAC Annual Meeting. It was Gulnar Bosch's intent through a bequest to SECAC that interest generated from funds invested by SECAC would be used to encourage graduate student participation in SECAC and their future involvement in the organization.
