SECAC 2017 - Columbus, Ohio

Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD) looks forward to hosting "Microscopes and Megaphones," the 73rd annual SECAC Conference, October 25-28, 2017. The Hilton Downtown Columbus will host attendees and all sessions; this official conference hotel is located in the south end of the Short North, Columbus’ arts district. Our secondary hotel, the Hampton Inn is less than two blocks away from the Hilton. There are still some rooms available on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at both hotels.

Use this link for the lowest rate at the Hilton: https://aws.passkey.com/go/SECAC2017.

The rate at the Hampton Inn is slightly higher but includes breakfast. For reservations, use this link: http://hamptoninn.hilton.com/en/hp/groups/personalized/C/CMHHSHX-SEC-20171025/index.jhtml?WT.mc_id=POG or call 614-559-2000 and identify yourself as a SECAC member to get the conference rate.

Because both hotels are full on Wednesday night, we have opened a third block of rooms at the Sheraton Columbus Hotel at Capitol Square, which is about six blocks away from the Hilton. There is no conference transportation between hotels, but there is a free city shuttle bus that runs close to both the Sheraton and the Hilton. Rooms at the Sheraton are available to SECAC members at the original, lower conference rate. The hotel has also agreed to honor that rate for available rooms from Sunday through Saturday, so members can avoid moving between hotels. Keynote speakers are Tyree Guyton, founder, and Jenenne Whitfield, Executive Director, of the Heidelberg Project
