Roanoke College invites applications for a one-year sabbatical replacement position in painting and drawing. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to teach introductory, intermediate, and advanced courses in painting and drawing. We welcome proposals for an undergraduate special topics course in an area of the candidate’s interest. Course load is three studio courses per semester, and may include one course in the college’s general education program. The successful candidate will possess a solid exhibition record and the organizational skills needed to manage the drawing and painting studio. Teaching experience beyond graduate assistantships is strongly desired, as is experience teaching studio art in a liberal arts setting.

MFA or equivalent professional experience required.
